1. Internal Reconciliation
Internal Reconciliation provides an overview of historical data inside the system, allowing a completed order flow to be validated. Note that the flow is not reconciled automatically - the Internal Reconciliation table simply provides the information needed to perform a reconciliation.
The Reconciliation table is updated when Confirmations are received. Note therefore that it does not contain information on exported transactions (i.e. export time and information) , because exporting happens at a later stage.
The following expectations are assumed always true and may therefore be considered impossible or unnecessary to reconcile via the Internal Reconciliation:
- the sum of Orders, in terms of quantities and units of measurement, is represented in the Internal Reconciliation by the respective Aggregation.
- Orders are therefore not individually recorded in the internal reconciliation table.
- The values for Confirmations should equal the summed values of the subsequent Transactions.
- This is controlled in the Confirmation distribution and not measured in the internal reconciliation.
The following expectations are dependent on incoming data and are therefore relevant targets for a Reconciliation:
- At the highest level and in a perfect scenario, Orders should be equal to Transactions.
This leads to the assumption that the Aggregation should also equal the sum of subsequent, related, Transactions.
However, there are some typical scenarios where these values may deviate. The Internal Reconciliation screen helps identify these deviations.
However, there are some typical scenarios where these values may deviate. The Internal Reconciliation screen helps identify these deviations.
- Reasons for deviations may for example include roundings or partial executions.
- Operators should have a defined workflow for handling common scenarios.
Generally speaking, field names in the Internal Reconciliation table (database name: agsys_oact_internal_reconciliation) are prefixed with o_, a_, c_, t_ to signify where the field data is coming from.
